Drum n Bass

 Drum n Bass

Drum n bass is an underground form of music that has proudly stayed that way, although a few artists have enjoyed mainstream chart success.  To many ravers it is the last credible underground music left! From Jungle to Liquid to Neuro Funk to Jump Up, Drum n Bass is still a force to be reckoned with, even after certain short-sighted media pundits tried to destroy it in the late 1990s. Drum n Bass will never die!

On this blog we will showcase the newest tracks from established and upcoming artists, free download mixes from soundcloud and dnbshare,  music videos, interviews with DJs, MCs and producers in the scene, and details of raves and events that you can go to!

Drum n Bass has become a global music since originating in London, UK, resulting in many different styles contributing to the melting pot!  A great example of this is the impact it had in Brazil and the subsequent style that Brazillian artists like DJ Marky brought to the scene.

Also the MCs in Drum n Bass have had a lyrical renaissance in recent years with artists releasing strong mix cds of fresh material, with bars and flows that are as deep and intricate as any hiphop MC or artist of any other genre.

DJing has also been taken to a level not seen before, with DJs using up to 6 decks for mixing, and one cannot ignore the new artists breaking through in the scene which was always notorious for being locked down, making it a continuously fresh and vibrant scene, rather than one stuck in the past.

Drum n Bass has a great future ahead of it, and this blog is dedicated to covering that for the legions of ravers and supporters of the music...
